Locate laundry near the bedrooms it serves
QS-LAUNDRY-01Description
In two-story plans, place the laundry room on the upper floor adjacent to the bedrooms whose clothes it processes — eliminate the carry-down-and-back-up daily trip.
Why this exists
Solid + exemplary 2-story plans with the laundry upstairs scored higher on functional-geometry than plans with a main-floor laundry. The savings in daily trips compound over years.
